Homestead Gristmill is a restored historic gristmill. We produce all of our mixes, flour and stone-ground cornmeal. Low-Temperature milling with a waterwheel-powered gristmill is important to preserving the freshness of the flour that's milled. Our historic working mill was built around 1760. In addition to three types of wheat and corn, we also grind oats, rye, spelt, rice, buckwheat and soybeans. We use the single-step process of grinding with natural granite stones which preserves the nutritional value of the grain.
